It will be FFA Sunday on Feb. 18, with members attending services at the First Baptist Church in Trenton as a group and wearing their official chapter attire. Members are to meet for a photo at 10:20 a.m., with services at 10:40 a.m. A lunch for members and their guests will be provided after church.
While there are no classes at Trenton on Monday, FFA members will still be busy as they will go bowling in Chillicothe. Members are to meet at 10:15 a.m. in the ag room, with the bus leaving at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Tuesday will be “Truck and Tractor Day,” with members encouraged to bring their best truck or tractor to school and park it in the front middle school parking lot. The vehicles are to be in place by 7:15 a.m. Members are also asked to wear their favorite tractor colored t-shirt.
“Official Dress Day” is Wednesday. Greenhand and Chapter Degree ceremonies for freshmen and sophomores will take place at 6 o’clock that evening in the high school commons. Members are to be there by 5:45 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Thursday will be Farmer/Farm Animal Day, with members encouraged to dress as their favorite farm animal or farmer. There will be a greenhand initiation between 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. in the ag room and chapter members will also be serving ice cream during the lunch hour.
Events end on Friday with the annual “Family and Friends” breakfast in the ag room from 6:30 to 8 a.m. There will also be a pizza part for all members who participate in at least three activities during FFA week as well as wear their official dress on Wednesday.
