A visitation for Aron Ray Vandevender will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.
Mr. Vandevender, a 41-year-old Trenton resident, died at 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at his residence. His body is to be cremated.
Mr. Vandevender was born on Jan. 30, 1977 in Trenton, the son of Henry and Sue Vandevender. He graduated from Trenton High School and received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduation, he worked for the Department of Social Security in Chillicothe. He remained there for 17 years and was employed as a manager.
He was married on June 24, 2011 in Kansas City to Becky Gwinn.
He was an avid car fan and enjoyed music and playing the drums.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Becky of the home; his parents, Henry and Sue Vandevender of Tindall; children, Gage Vandevender of St. Joseph and Saige and Skylar Gott of Trenton; a sister, Angela Holloway and her husband, Greg of Columbia; and brothers, Alan Buckner and his friend, Elizabeth Gibson of Trenton, Dewayne Brown and his wife, Julie of Denver, CO and Mark Brown and his wife, Michelle of Grain Valley.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Green Hills Animal Shelter and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
