Clarence V. Glenn, an 84-year-old resident of Bethany and former Gilman City resident, died on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at a Bethany nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial with military rites will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery at Bethany
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mr. Glenn was born on Feb. 14, 1933 in Ridgeway, the son of Vernon and Mabel Morris Glenn. He was married on Dec. 8, 1956 in New Hampton to Joan Graham, who survives of the home.
He served in the United States Army. He was a trustee for Fox Creek Township, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Bethany and had served as treasurer for the Mt. Pleasant #1 Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a general contractor and enjoyed woodworking and gardening in his spare time.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Daniel Glenn of Trenton, Raniel (Angela) Glenn of Bethany and Samuel (Karen) Glenn of Trenton; a daughter, Regina (Justin) Glenn-Cash of Shawnee, KS; two brothers, Clark Glenn and Carl (Martha) Glenn, both of Bethany; a sister, Annie Buzzard of Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Clinton “Spanky” Starmer; a sister-in-law, Reva Glenn; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Buzzard.
