Two Trenton Boxing Club members won Missouri state titles in their respective divisions, winning in St. Louis. Parker Findley, eight-year-old, 55 pounder out of Bethany, and Aryn Pajak, nine-year-old 70-pounder out of Trenton, both won state championships and advanced to the Region 5 silver gloves tournament in Rockford, IL this past weekend.
At the region tournament, Findley captured another title, besting a field that consisted of state champions from Missouri, illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. Pajak, meanwhile, fell by a split decision in the semifinals of the tournament. Pajak is currently ranked fourth in the country for his age and weight division on usaboxing.org.
Findley will go on to compete in the National Silver Gloves Tournament in Independence on Feb. 1-3. Pajak will be in action again this weekend in Turner, KS.
