The Grundy R-5 High School basketball teams were at home on Tuesday night, playing host to East Harrison in an HDC Conference doubleheader. Grundy took the girls contest 73-50, but dropped the boys match-up 80-65.
For the Grundy girls, Jandie Peterson led the way with 33 points and five steals. Aubrey Gann added 21 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Mady Williams had seven rebounds and Morgan Axtell had five assists and five steals.
In the boys contest, Grundy was paced by 18 points from Bryson Gann and Caden Gann scored 17. Jonathon Stimpson finished with 15.
Grundy’s teams will be back in action on Friday, traveling to Mendon to face Northwestern. Action tips off at 6 p.m. with the girls game and the boys contest will follow.
