Carmen Nadine Fisher, a 97-year-old Chillicothe resident, died at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Payne Funeral Home in Galt. There will be a private burial later at the Schrock Cemetery near Reger.
A visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
Mrs. Fisher was born on April 2, 1920 in Sullivan County, the daughter of Roy Edmond and Eula Vea Thurlo Crowdis. She graduated from Galt High School.
She was married on Sept. 21, 1937 in Denver, CO to Paul Wilson Fisher, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1993. For 35 years she worked as a nurse at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital at Milan. She also worked at Indian Hills Nursing Home in Chillicothe for seven years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe.
Surviving relatives include her son, Roy Michael Fisher and his wife Meryl, of Decatur, TX; a daughter, Paula M. Wilson of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Tim Wilson and his wife, Hamsua of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle Hibner and her husband, Mark of Montgomery, TX, Melissa Johnson and her husband, Todd of Bedford, TX and Mark Wilson and his wife, Kayla of Fort Worth, TX; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Lois V. Gray.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Schrock Cemetery Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 813 Custer St., Trenton, MO 64683.
