Veterans Help Is Available

A veterans service officer will be present in Trenton on Friday, Jan. 5 and Monday, Jan. 8 to assist veterans with any paperwork they may have.
The officer will be at the Joseph L. Norton Post No. 919 VFW Hall on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A counselor will also be available. Those needing assistance are asked to bring any paperwork they may have, including military separation papers. Active military are always welcome to attend.
A service officer will also be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the Trenton Hy-Vee to help with VA paperwork. Those needing help are asked to bring all paperwork they have as well as their military separation papers.
A service officer is also available in Trenton on Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Persons can call 359-2078 to schedule an appointment or to receive more information.
Veterans also needing to schedule a ride on the VA shuttle are asked to call as soon as the appointment date is known so that a ride can be secured. The shuttle will be running to the Kansas City VA Hospital and Clinics each Wednesday in January. To schedule a ride, persons can call 359-2078.
