A special white Christmas tree, the “Light a Candle Tree,” has been erected in a place of honor at the North 65 Center. This tree is the Light A Candle Tree and the tree is decorated with paper candles placed on it in memory of or in honor of loved ones, family and friends. Each donation to the center is recognized with a candle ornament, with donations being used to provide dine-in and home-delivered meals for seniors, for activities at the center, equipment and for building maintenance. Donations are tax-deductible and a receipt will be provided upon request. Light A Candle forms are available at the North 65 Center.
During its last fiscal year, the North 65 Center served 510 persons with dine-in meals and 110 persons with home-delivered meals. Center staff cooked and served more than 16,000 hot dine-in meals, more than 13,000 hot, home-delivered meals and more than 6,000 frozen home-delivered meals for a total of more than 36,000 meals.
