A rally by family and friends of Tanner Ward was held on Sunday afternoon on the west side of the Grundy County Courthouse. “Justice for Tanner” included around 50 persons who were at the courthouse to remember Ward, whose body was found on Monday, Dec. 4 in a wooded area between Shanklin Avenue and GFG Ag Services. The Trenton Police Department has been investigating since Ward’s disappearance on June 7. A Kansas City, KS forensics expert has ruled the death a suicide, however, those attending Sunday’s rally do not believe the ruling and are asking that the case be re-opened.
