The Trenton Kids Wrestling Club was in action for the first time this season, traveling to a pair of tournaments over the weekend – one in Macon and the other in Chillicothe.
At Macon, Bryer Foster (8U), Hunter McAtee (12U) and Coleman Griffin (14U) all brought home first-place medals. Tanner Phipps (10U), Logan Wilson (10U), Brayden Hughs (12U), Bo Meeker (12U), Mason Rongey (12U), Caleb Johnson (14U) and Kaden Owen (14U) all finished runner-up in their respective weight classes at the tournament. Other medalists at Macon included third-place winners Mason Clear (6U), Kayden Foster (8U), Chase Foster (10U) and Brayden Clause (12U) and fourth-place finishers Spencer Stieh (10U) and Maverick Stieh (12U).
At Chillicothe, Trenton took home the sportsmanship trophy for the second consecutive year. First-place winners at that tournament included Sam Wiebers (8U), Chase Foster (10U), Sam Gibson (12U), McAtee (12U), Hughs (12U), Rongey (12U), Griffin (14U) and Owen (14U). Runner-up finishers were Blake Gannon (6U), Bryar Foster (8U), Spencer Stieh (10U), Logan Wilson (10U) and Phipps (10U). Braylee Barron (6U), Caleb Dixon (8U), Archer Gannon (8U), Statler Wiebers (8U) and Clause (12U) were third. Ryker Murphy (6U), Karter Spencer (6U), Slade Wiebers (6U), Brayden Bell (10U) and Maverick Stieh (12U) were fourth and Kaydan Foster (8U) was fifth.
