Former IAMO Board Members Arrested

Nov 30, 2017 | Headline News

A former board member of a Kirksville-based truck and tractor pullers association has now been arrested.
Kevin Stover, 47, of Cameron was booked on Wednesday at the Adair County Law Enforcement Center in Kirksville. He was released after posting 10 percent of his $25,000 bond.
Charisse Hatfield, 48, of Kirksville, also a former board member of the IAMO Truck and Tractor Pullers, is free after posting her full $25,000 bond amount late Tuesday afternoon.
According to the KTVO-TV (channel 3) television website, both Stover and Ms. Hatfield are accused of stealing money from the group between 2011 and 2015 when they served overlapping roles of secretary and treasurer of the association. Ms. Hatfield is accused of stealing more than $33,500. Police said Stover wrote himself checks for more than $6,225.
Investigators also said Stover had a 1999 van that belonged to the pullers association. KTVO said that Stover reportedly told a board member he had the van “crushed” and that he sold it for scrap because it was beyond repair.
Stover also allegedly still has a laptop computer and printer belonging to the association.
The crushed van and the computer and printer are valued at $1,500.
The two suspects face multiple felony charges of receiving stolen property. Ms. Hatfield faces an additional charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device. Stover also faces a felony charge of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
The IAMO conducts tractor pulls throughout north Missouri and southern Iowa and has been involved in events held in Trenton.
