The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra, now in its 55th season, will again join musical forces with the Marshall Community Chorus on Sunday, Nov. 26, in their annual Christmas Celebration.
The concert will be held in the Harold L. Lickey Auditorium of Bueker Middle School in Marshall and will begin at 2:30 p.m. This concert will be under the direction of Kevin Lines and Ann Lewis, accompanied by Julie Lewis. The concert is free and open to the public.
Concert-goers will hear annual favorites such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah”. Sunday’s concert will also feature varied medleys of sacred and secular music including “O Holy Night,” “The First Nowell,” and a more contemporary publication, “All is Well.”
Orchestra organizers invite patrons to bring non-perishable items to support the local food pantry.
Buddy Hannaford is a charter member of this musical group.
