Two Injured In Thursday Accident

Nov 10, 2017 | Accidents

Residents from Jamesport and Cainsville were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Thursday night
Austin Frisbie, 23, of Cainsville, received serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza by the Grundy County Ambulance Service. Caleb Beery, 20, of Jamesport, had minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a truck driven by Beery was westbound on Highway 6, two miles west of Trenton, when it had slowed to make a lefthand turn and was waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. The truck was hit from behind by a car driven by Frisbie. The impact caused the Beery truck to overturn, coming to rest on its wheels on the south shoulder of the road. The car skidded to a stop in the westbound lane.
Frisbie was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. Both vehicles were demolished.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. Adam McAtee, assisted by Sgt. Mike Quilty.
