The Grundy R-5 Junior High boys basketball team kicked off play in the Mercer Tournament on Monday night with a 17-10 loss to Gilman City.
Nathan Wells, Johannes Oaks, Aidan Rains, Cale Miller and Aiden Gann scored 2 points each for the Panthers. Gilman City was led by Brody Langfitt with 8 and Cameron Gregg with 6.
