NCMC Women Split At Johnson County

The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates split a pair of contests played over the weekend at the Johnson County Classic in Overland Park, KS.
The Lady Pirates got their first win of the year on Friday, taking a 60-57 win over Ft. Scott, KS, Community College. NCMC was down 47-41 heading into the fourth quarter, but a strong run in the final period gave the Lady Pirates the victory. Sarah Lamp led NCMC with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Kendy Eaton added 16 points and Nicole Kost had 12 points.
On Saturday, NCMC fell by 10 points to the number two-ranked team in the nation, Kansas City, KS, Community College, which took an 83-73 decision. Samm Jett led the Lady Pirates with 18 while Lamp scored 14 points. Kost and Eaton both finished the night with 10 points.
The Lady Pirates are 1-2 on the year and will host the Park University JV in a 5:30 p.m. game on Wednesday at the Ketcham Community Center.
