Glenn Allen Putrah, an 88-year-old resident of Trenton, died at his home on Friday Nov. 3, 2017.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Trenton. Rev. Eric Swyres will officiate. An inurnment of cremains will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at the Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, MN.
Mr. Putrah was born on April 22, 1929 in Good Thunder, MN, the son of Clifford E. Putrah and Mary Aileen Jay Putrah. He was married on Jan. 22, 1950 at Vernon Center, MN to Betty Ann Herrlich. He was a resident of Trenton and a former resident of the Half Rock community. He was a farmer his entire life.
Mr. Putrah is survived by three children, Denise Putrah of Manassas Park, VA, Jean Collings and her husband, Clay of Princeton, and Daniel Putrah and his wife, Beth of Paris, MO; a son-in-law, Bob Lovgren of Santa Barbara, CA; five grandchildren, Clint Collings and his wife, Jamie of Fairmont, OK, Jason Collings of Princeton, Burton Putrah and his wife, Hillary of Washington, DC, Ann Domenico and her husband, Pete of Salt Lake City, UT and Conrad Putrah of Paris; three great-granddaughters, Jayln, Alexa and Willa Collings of Fairmont; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his oldest daughter, Doreen Lovgren; and two brothers, Jay and Dean Putrah.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or a scholarship contribution to the Princeton FFA. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home at 813 Custer St., Trenton, MO 64683.
