Brent Wyant, owner of Barnes-Baker Motors in Chillicothe and Barnes-Baker Automotive in Trenton, has announced his decision to part ways with the Chillicothe location after seven years of service and will now focus his efforts on his Trenton location.
A long-time Trenton resident, Wyant has owned and operated the dealership in Trenton for 16 years. After raising his family and living in Trenton since 1973, Wyant is excited to continue serving the community he calls home.
In addition to separating from the Chillicothe dealership, Wyant is also separating from the Chrysler franchise, making his Trenton location an exclusive Ford store. He has plans in the works to renovate the dealership at 1406 Oklahoma Ave.
“It’s just like the old saying goes, ‘As one door closes, another door opens’,” said Wyant of what is coming next. “That’s exactly my sentiment when it comes to my decision to part ways with our Chillicothe location. I grew up in Trenton and am very excited to focus all my effort on one location now. In fact, we already have plans to expand our Trenton store to bring even more selection and services to our community.”
Curnow Chrylser Dodge Jeep Ram of Cameron has purchased the Chrysler franchise. Barnes-Baker Motors of Chillicothe will become Curnow Chevrolet Buick GMC.
The sale was effective on Friday, according to Wyant.
