Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Nov 1, 2017 | Headline News

Trenton High School Key Club and the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library will host a Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the library on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov.18.
Children in preschool through first grade are invited to bring a stuffed animal or doll to the Hoover Theater at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Participants will read a bedtime story, enjoy a snack, and receive a sleeping bag for their stuffed animal. While children are tucking in their animals, there will be a program for parents providing tips to promote reading at home. Following bedtime activities and the parent program, the animals will remain at the library for a “sleep over” while the children and their parents return to their respective homes.
Children and parents will return to Hoover Theater at 9 a.m. on Saturday to pick up their stuffed animals, watch a movie about the stuffed animals’ night of adventures in the library, receive a book, and visit the children’s library.
Participants must return a registration form and $5 to their school office by Friday, Nov. 10. Registration forms were sent home from school with the R-9 students or they can be found on the Trenton R-9 website and at the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library. The event is limited to the first 30 children to register.
For more information, persons can call Key Club Advisor Kara Helmandollar at 359-5966.
