Weaver Harvests First Deer

Seven-year-old Drake Weaver harvested his first deer over the weekend, during the youth portion of the Missouri firearms deer season. Weaver shot the doe from 90 yards while hunting with his father northwest of Trenton. He is the son of Jim Weaver and Mackenzie Weldon, both of Trenton. Youth hunters ages six-15 harvested 17,222 deer across the state over the weekend. In Grundy County, 100 deer were harvested, 79 being antlered bucks, four being button bucks and 17 does.
