Members of the North Central Missouri College men’s and women’s basketball teams got the chance to experience what it’s like to play basketball in a wheelchair during an event on Wednesday night at the Ketcham Community Center. Midwest Adaptive Sports came to town and took on the two squads in a fundraiser to support the Kansas City-based basketball league, whose members include NCMC student Kevin Caldwell of Gallatin. Needless to say, the wheelchair-bound athletes gave NCMC all it could handle, with NCMC coming out on top, thanks to donations from the audience at halftime which helped add points to the final score.
