Trenton’s state qualifying doubles team, Claire Utley and Lauren Dolan, were eliminated for the Class 1, Girls Tennis Championships Friday.
The duo suffered a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Pembroke Hill’s Alisha Castaner and Jean Li in the first round in the morning. That loss placed the Bulldog tandem in the consolation bracket where they fell 6-0, 6-0 to Anna Williams and Kayton Harris of Kennett.
That concludes the 2017 girls’ tennis season, one that saw the Bulldogs run a 13-3 record with a district championship.
