Farrel Lavene Hanson, an 86-year-old resident of Lake St. Louis and formerly of Fayette, died on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at her son’s home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 in St. Paul Cemetery at Princeton, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home of Princeton. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mrs. Hanson was born May 8, 1931 in rural Mercer County, the daughter of Elbert Ray and Dortha Carrico Craig.
She was married in Trenton on Dec. 24, 1950 to Chester Eli Hanson, who survives of the home. They resided in Fayette from 1963 to 2013.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons and grandchildren, Mike (Tara) Hanson of Lake St. Louis and their children, Justin, Casey, Corey and Taylor, and Russell (Debbie) Hanson of Fayette and their children, Christopher, Kimberly and Rebecca.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a cousin, Frieda Brower; uncles Harold Norris, Hugh, Oval, Roy and Orie Craig; and aunts, Toi Still, Carrie Carter and Elvie Kirkpatrick.
