Funeral services for William “Bill Ed” Willard will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton
A family visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery, north of Trenton.
Mr. Willard, an 81-year-old former resident of Half Rock and Spickard, died at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at his residence in Independence.
Mr. Willard was born on Oct. 23, 1935 in Half Rock, the son of Fred and Sylvia Michael Willard. He was married in 1957 to Jennie Coffman, who preceded him in death in 2006. He retired from General Motors.
Surviving relatives include his sons, Wes Willard and his wife, Carol of Warsaw and William “Charlie” Willard and his wife, Tammy of Princeton; a sister, Rosanne Hughes of Jamesport; a companion, Marie Browning of Kansas City; and 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Jason Houston; and a sister, Jenny Gail Figgs.
