Sheila Jo Phillips Bloom, a 57-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Allerton, IA.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at the enclosed shelterhouse at Crowder State Park near Trenton.
Mrs. Bloom was born on March 6, 1960 in Trenton, the daughter of Paul Dee and Vivian Arlene Terry Phillips. She grew up in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1978. She then attended college in Trenton for two years. She worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for several years before starting at Premium Standard Farms, where she was a swine breeder. Following an accident there, she retired and went on disability.
She was married to Wayne Bonta and they divorced after a short time. She then married Terry Doyle Constable. She had a long relationship with John Brookman and was currently widowed from her last marriage to J.D. Bloom.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and being outside working in her garden and flowerbeds. She was very interested in all of her grandchildren’s activities. She was also very proud that she had been sober for the past six years.
Survivors include her children, Sierra and Cory Heun of Allerton and Deejon Brookman of Trenton; grandchildren, Ayden Miles, Aryssa Miles and Alyzabeth Miles, all of Allerton; a twin sister, Sharon Greene of Trenton; a brother, Jon Phillips and his wife, Bobbi, of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.D. Bloom; and a son, Christian.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
