Darrell L. McPherson, a 62-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Tuesday morning, Sept. 26, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
The body was cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home at Trenton. No service is planned at this time.
Mr. McPherson was born on June 22, 1955 in Lexington, the son of Ira Leon and Velma Jewell Roberts McPherson. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines.
He was married at Gladstone on Aug. 27, 1977 to Deborah Gilby, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Dustin McPherson of Trenton and Patrick McPherson of Kansas City; three sisters, Jackie Sharp of Gladstone, Ellen Jones of Wellington and Helen Swope of Braymer; two brothers, Donnie McPherson of Albemarie, NC and Dale McPherson of Trenton; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
