Ernest A. Kinnison, an 81-year-old resident of Spickard, died on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 23, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church in Trenton with Rev. Del Weyer officiating. Burial will be in Spickard Masonic Cemetery.
A family visitation will be from 6 to 7 o’clock tonight (Sept. 25, 2017) at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Kinnison was born on Nov. 28, 1935 in Spickard, the son of Dolp and Cuma Mclaughlin Kinnison. He attended Spickard schools and served in the U.S. Army. Before retiring he was employed as parts manager at Trenton Ford.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Trenton.
He was married in Harris on May 17, 1969 to Kay, who survives of the home.
He is also survived by three sons, Ronnie Kinnison and his wife, Dana of Smithville, Randy Kinnison and his wife, Tammy of Trenton and Shelby Vandevender and his wife, Michelle of Trenton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Booth and Dorothy Kinnison; one nephew, Delbert Booth; and one brother-in-law, Clifford Booth.
Memorials are suggested to the Spickard Masonic Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
