Bill and Susie Bear of Trenton are the recipients of Century Farm recognition by the University of Missouri Extension and the Missouri Farm Bureau. The program recognizes persons owning farms that have been in the same family for 100 years or more. The original 135-acre farm now owned by the Bears was purchased in 1916 by Bear’s grandfather, William H. Robinson, and is located west of Trenton. There are currently 63 Century Farms in Grundy County.
