The Trenton Middle School softball team cruised to a 17-0 victory over Gallatin in just three innings on Thursday night at home on Johnson Field. Megan Spencer was the winning pitcher for Trenton, throwing al three frames and allowing no runs on no hits while striking out five.
At the plate, Delaney Franklin was three-for-three with two runs scored, Savannah Triplet was three-for-three with a run and an RBI and Bailey Catron was two-for-two with a walk and two runs scored. Kami Phillips had a hit, two walks and three runs and Summer Martin tallied one hit – a double – walked twice and scored twice. Andrea Selby tripled, scored once and had an RBI and Spencer added a hit, walk, run and RBI.Gracyn Rongey had a hit and two runs and Morgan King had a hit, walk and run scored.
Trenton’s middle school softball team moved to 6-4 with the win. It plays again on Monday, traveling to Marceline for a 5 p.m. first pitch.
