Jaymes D. Riggen, Trenton, pleaded guilty to selling/purchasing a motor vehicle or trailer registered in Missouri without transfering the certificate of ownership and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs.
Mikayla White, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second degree tampering with a motor vehicle, a class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to serve 38 days in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for 38 days served. She is also to pay $300 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund and $116.50 costs.
Dorothy K. Archuleta, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid, a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 10.
John L. Courtney, Galt, pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, involving an accident, and had his case set for Oct. 10.
Matthew S. Kangas, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to display plates on a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle owned by another knowing financial responsibility was not maintained and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs on each charge.
Michael D. Odor, Laredo, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $37.50 and $68.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Dustin A. Russell, Mercer, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $200 and $68.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to failing to display plates on a motor vehicle and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs.
Lisa Stephens, Princeton, pleaded guilty to passing bad checks and was fined $200 and $116.50 costs. She is also to pay $433.50 restitution.
Bobbie Lovell aka Bobbie Lee Sterling, Trenton, pleaded guilty to passing bad checks and was fined $200 and $116.50 costs and is to pay $217.06 restitution.
Cory J. Burchett, Trenton, pleaded guilty to violating an order of protection for an adult and second degree property damage. He was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently and credit given for five days served. Execution of the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for one year. He is to pay restitution and costs.
