R-6 Special Reader

“Special Reader” Colin Withers, began his weekly visits to the Pleasant View R-6 preschool classroom on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Withers joins the class once a week to read to the students. This year he is starting off with the book, “By The Shores Of Silver Lake,” by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This is his 20th year reading aloud to the class. The program helps children acquire early language skills, develop positive associations with books and reading and builds a stronger foundation for school success. The preschool teacher is Janet Lea Lake.
