Students in the Laredo R-7 School District returned to the classroom this morning for the 2017-2018 school year, with enrollment down seven students over the first day last year.
There were 41 students enrolled in grades kindergarten through eighth this morning, down from 48 on the first day last year. The largest class is the sixth grade with eight students and the smallest class is kindergarten, with two students. Enrollment, by grade, is kindergarten, 2; first grade, 6; second grade, 3; third grade, 4; fourth grade, 3; fifth grade, 6; sixth grade, 8; seventh grade, 3; and eighth grade, 6.
Classes start at Pleasant View R-6, Spickard R-2, Princeton R-5 and Newtown-Harris on Wednesday.
