Three Hurt In Monday Accident

Three Trenton residents received injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Monday morning, southwest of Trenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two of the injured, 16-year-old Adreanna Gard and 12-year-old Andrew Huffstutter, were taken by private vehicle to a doctor’s office in Trenton for treatment of minor injuries. The third person, Cynthia Donnelly, 53, was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital at Trenton by the Grundy County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of minor injuries.
The patrol said a car driven by Miss Gard was eastbound on SW 54th Street and a van driven by Ms. Donnelly was merging onto SW 54th Street from SW 40th Avenue. The Donnelly van pulled into the path of the Gard car, causing both vehicles to strike head-on. The car was demolished while the van received extensive damage.
Sgt. Doug Little investigated the accident, assisted by Trooper B.N. Raney and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department.Louis, was the judge.
