Several area FFA members will be receiving their American Farmer Degree during the National FFA Convention this October.
The recipient list includes John Kelsall, Sadie Roy, Huston Sprinkle and Ryan Stimpson of Trenton; Haley Johnson and Emily Milazzo of Grundy R-5 at Galt; Katana Almond, Brooke Dustman and Amy Gingerich of Jamesport; Hunter Boxley, Brant Faulkner, Savannah Millburn, William Miller, Rylan Purdun amd Darcee Schwartzkopf of Princeton; Trevor Burrows and Morgan Hightree of Gilman City; and Brooke Duckworth, Galt Porter and Bryce Shipley of North Mercer.
Three members of the Trenton FFA chapter will be competing for national honors in proficiency categories, having been named the Missouri winners earlier this year. They include Mariah Fox, ag communications; Derek Stimpson, diversified crop production-placement; and Katerina Black, veterinary science.
