The Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors took action on several items during a meeting on Tuesday, July 18 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments.
According to information provided by Administrator Donita Youtsey, the board accepted a bid from Southern Bus and Mobility for a 2009 Ford E-350 high top lift van. The price was $17,900.
Following an executive session, the board approved an education reimbursement request from Matthew Snow, who is pursuing a registered nursing degree. He has been a charge nurse at Sunnyview since 2012. The board also approved minutes of the June 21 closed session.
Other action during the open portion of the meeting included information regarding the ongoing facility energy audit, highlights from Nursing Appreciation Week, which was June 19-23, and reports from Mrs. Youtsey and Assistant Administrator Matt Arthaud, who also gave the RCF report.
The next meeting of the board will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15 in the conference room of the administrator’s office at the nursing home.
