Sharon LeRoy “SL” Berry, a 75-year-old resident of Lee’s Summit, died on Friday, June 30, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit with Revs. Hubert Neth and Jeremy Vickers officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the Spickard Masonic Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Berry was born in Spickard and graduated from Spickard High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and upon discharge worked as a machinist at TWA for 34 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing his faith and music with others.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa; three daughters Katherine (Patrick) Pilolla of Medford, OR, Lora (Todd) Piepergerdes of Maumelle, AR and Susan (Paul) Klene of Lee’s Summit; a stepson, Edwin (Lenny) Reyna of New York, NY; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Seth Piepergerdes, Grant, Hannah, and Mary Klene and Camila and Zarah Reyna; a sister Shilah (Paul) Boule of Kansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael D.; his parents, Ralph and Venice; and his wife of 38 years, Helen Jean Berry.
Memorials are suggested to either Cancer Action of Kansas City or the Five P Minus Society. They may be sent to the funeral home.
Local arrangements under the direction of Slater Funeral Home of Trenton.
