Dean Shipley, a 78-year-old Trenton resident, died at his home Sunday, June 4, 2017.
The body was cremated.
A family visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Shipley was born on July 20, 1938 in Illinois, the son of Gail Wayne and Rayma May Shipley. He was married to Donna Wilson on June 19, 1960 in Spickard. He was an over the road truck driver until retiring in 2001.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Donna Shipley of the home; a daughter, Lynette Hughson and her husband, Scott of Trenton; two sons, Lynn Dean Shipley of Gallatin and Lyndell Shipley and his wife, Julie of Trenton; a sister, Maurine Clem of Trenton; a brother, Maurice Shipley and his wife, Marilyn of Trenton; a sister-in-law, Jean Wilson of Trenton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Shipley.
