Trenton natives Capt. Brent Trickel and his wife, Marla Trump Trickel, far right, recently had the opportunity to meet President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump aboard the Naval Air Station Sigonella in Italy of which Capt. Trickel is the commanding officer. The visit took place as part of President Trump’s first trip abroad since taking office. Capt. Trickel is the son of Evelyn Trickel and the late Bob Trickel and is a 1989 graduate of Trenton High School. Mrs. Trickel is the daughter of Al and Marilee Trump (no relation to the president!) and is a 1990 graduate of THS. Both are graduates of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Also pictured at left is Commander Charles G. McKinney II, executive officer of NAS Sigonella. NAS Sigonella is an operational ashore base that enables U.S. allied and partner nation forces to be where they are needed and when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
