If you enjoy country bluegrass rock and blues music, you certainly will not want to miss the Mid-America Music Festival, slated for July 28-30 at the Black Silo Winery and Vineyards, located just outside of Trenton.
The two-day festival schedule is packed with some well-known musical acts as well as some “up and comers” whose music is sure to entertain persons of all ages and musical tastes. Included on the list of 11 entertainers is the Saturday night headliner, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, a 1970s/1980s favorite that still packs in crowds at venues throughout the United States with such classics as “If You Want to Get To Heaven” and “Jackie Blue.”
Other performers scheduled during the weekend include the Ryan Collins Band, with two performances scheduled. Local entertainment is also planned that evening, with the bands to be announced.
Saturday’s music schedule kicks off at 1 p.m. with Trenton’s own Slow Leak. Two stages will then be featured throughout the day, featuring Creek Rocks, Brother Dege, Katy Guillen, Cory Branan and Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders. Jason Boland and the Stragglers step onto the stage at 7:45 p.m. with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils set for a 9:15 p.m. performance. An after party event will take place at 11 p.m., featuring KJam and an open mic jam session.
Sunday’s schedule is yet to be determined.
In addition to two days of music, food and beverages will be available from local vendors. There will also be camping available (tent, car, RV or 5th wheel) as well as general parking. Those fees are listed on the Mid-America Music Festival website, www.http://midamericamusicfestival.com.
Tickets are now on sale for the venue, also available by going to the website. General admission is $49 or $69 after July 14. VIP tickets, which include a reserved area in front of the stage as well as private VIP food and drink and bathrooms, will be available for $96 until July 14. After that time, the cost is $146. All tickets will also have a purchase fee.
Organizers are hoping for a crowd of around 2,000 and encourage persons to get their tickets early.
