Two students have been chosen as the Grundy R-5 Elementary School Star Students of the Week. They were chosen for the traits of being respectful, responsible and safe. Aricka Sprague, at left, and Carlee Mathews, at right, are students in Mrs. Burkeybile’s second grade class. Aricka loves to jump on the trampoline, eat strawberries and play video games. Her favorite color is pink and her hero is her grandmother, Jolene Grindstaff. She wants to work at McDonald’s when she grows up. Carlee loves to draw and listen to music. Her favorite food is scrambled eggs and her favorite color is pink. Her heroes are her mother and Brian. When she grows up, she wants to be a nurse practitioner.
