The Trenton Boxing Club sent three fighters to Lawton, OK over the weekend for the ninth annual Madman Boxing Tournament. All three received first-round byes and all three returned home with championships after winning their respective divisions on Saturday. Faith Baker, left, won the 135-pound girls division over Elissa Carillo of Dallas, TX, via a unanimous decision. Aryn Pajak, center, won the boys 65-pound championship with a split decision over Trip Rivers from Spiro, OK. Owen Brown, right, topped Diego Morales from Oklahoma City, OK with a split decision for the 138-pound championship. “I was very proud of all three fighters and very pleased with how they stepped up to bigger and better opposition than what we normally get locally,” Coach Rocky Dunkin said. “All fighters listened well and proved they can compete on a national level.” The club returns to the squared circle on May 12-13, competing at the Regional Junior Olympics in St. Louis. Winners at that tournament will advance to Charleston, WV in June.
