The Grundy R-5 fifth and sixth grade basketball teams drew a split on Tuesday in Laredo, closing out the season. The Grundy girls lost 27-4, but the Grundy boys capped an undefeated season with a 43-11 win.
In the girls game, Laredo got eight points from Joely Johnson and five from Lainie Lewis. Grundy, meanwhile, got two points each from Raegen Griswold and Ella Novak. The boys game saw Grundy led by nine points from Corbin Axtell and Cooper Coffman and Cole Peterson added eight and six points respectively. For the Laredo boys, Peyton Moore scored seven points to pace the Tigers.
