Helping Hands 4-H Club Meets

The Helping Hands 4-H Club met on Feb. 8 at the First Christian Church with 17 members, four Clover Kids, seven leaders and seven guests present.
Jake Schmadeke led the American flag pledge and Mason Rongey led the 4-H pledge. For roll call, members were asked their favorite part of Valentine’s Day.
Items discussed were the Grundy County Fun Day on March 17 at 4:45 p.m. at Crowder Park, Contest Day on April 28, applications for 4-H camp and the 4-H Lock-In at the YMCA which is for sixth grade members and older. A Valentine’s game with tissue paper hearts and clothes pins was held. “Happy Birthday” was sung to those with February birthday anniversaries. Members passed out valentines and refreshments of cookies, cupcakes and fruit were served.
The Medlin and Olmstead families will provide the refreshments for the next meeting, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at the church.
