FFA Chapter Qualifies Seven For State

Trenton FFA members took part in the Area 2 FFA Proficiency Award selection on Wednesday night based on their SAE project for the year.
Several individuals placed in the top three, with the first-place winners advancing to state competition that will be held during the State FFA Convention at Columbia in April.
Earning first-place honors were Marah Fox, agricultural communications; Logan Lowrey, agricultural mechanics repair and maintenance-placement; Jayden Roeder, agricultural sales-placement; Derek Stimpson, diversified crop production-placement; Emily Lynch, food service; Seth Reeter, grain production-placement; and Katerina Black, veterinarian science.
Jasper Hanson received second place in two categories, diversified agricultural production and forage production, while Katerina Black was second in equine science-entrepreneurship. Third place went to Tyler Kidd in swine production-entrepreneurship.
Others competing at the area level were Dakota Cutsinger, agricultural mechanics-design and fabrication; Okla Fitzpatrick, ag processing; Tenna Roberts, beef production-entrepreneurship; Hannah Persell, environmental science and natural resources management and wildlife management; Seth Reeter, fiber and/or oil production; Padyn Gibson, landscape management; Jaylen Neff, outdoor recreation; Tenna Roberts, small animal production; Mason Owen, turf grass management; and Karli Crawford, vegetable production.
