Melba L. Hart, an 87-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at Bethany Care Center, in Bethany.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at Roberson Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery at Princeton.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hart was born on July 1, 1929 in King City, the daughter of Laverne and Eva Taylor Antle.
She was married on Jan. 6, 1951 to Robert Raymond Hart, who preceded her in death on July 12, 2012.
Mrs. Hart was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing and fishing in the river.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Laverne “Bobby” (Sherry) Hart, of McFall and Raymond Lynn (Rosemary) Hart of Council Bluffs, IA; one grandchild, Lydia Marie Hart of Gilman City; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Fenimore of Bethany and Trysen and Phoenyx Ratliff of Cainsville; three brothers, Richard “Dickey” (Charlotte) Antle of Princeton, Jerry (Etta) Antle of Princeton and Bobby (Barbara) Antle of Stewartville; three sisters, Connie (Denny) Snapp of Kansas City, Sharon Lippitt of Kansas City and Carolyn Hewitt of St. Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Alma Carmichael, Beverly Sharp, Jeneal Groom and Jenelda Carmichael.
