The Finance Committee of the Trenton City Council continued budget work on Tuesday night, looking at both the city and utility sides.
City Administrator Ron Urton said the committee reviewed the police department’s operating budget as well as the economic development budget. There was also a review of the electric department budget. Urton said the committee did make cuts in some areas on which they worked, but was not specific as to what those cuts were. He said a lot of work still remains before the budget is finalized.
The committee is scheduled to meet again at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at city hall.
