As part of this Friday night’s Downtown Christmas activities, the Phi Mu sorority at North Central Missouri College is kicking off Pirate Spirit to their students, alumni and all area businesses. Members will be holding a communitywide fundraiser that includes the sale of Pirate flags and cooling rags as well as a 50/50 raffle that will continue through mid-February at designated Pirate basketball games. Phi Mu is the oldest organization on campus with its mission to assist other clubs and organizations, charity work and leadership within the communities they live and serve. The sorority is raising money for its scholarship fund, an area charity and educational events.
