12th District State Sen. Dan Hegeman, R-Cosby, was among legislators taking part in a forum on Friday on the campus of North Central Missouri College. The legislators addressed several issues regarding higher education, both at the state and national level. Other legislators included Third District State Rep. Nate Walker, R-Kirksville, First District State Rep. Allan Andrews, R-Grant City and representatives from the office of Sen. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, Sixth District Congressman Sam Graves and U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt. NCMC students, staff and board members as well as members of the public attened the event, held in Cross Hall. Local businessman Gary Black served as the moderator.
