The Trenton Middle School wrestling team was in action on Monday night traveling to the Chillicothe Quad, where the Bulldogs were joined by the host Hornets as well as Maryville and Kirksville.
As a team, Trenton ran a record of 9-20. Jake McNabb led the way, going 2-0 on the night. Quincy Griffin and Trevor Brittain both earned multiple wins as well, each going 2-1. Tyler Siemer, Elijah Merrin and Caleb Johnson all picked up one win each, all finishing the night 1-1. Other wrestlers in action for Trenton included Nate Burkeybile, Luke Schilling, Kaden Owen and Riley Jones – all 0-2 – and Brice Gibler and Grant Leeper – both 0-3.
Trenton’s middle school wrestlers will be back on the mat on Thursday, traveling to the Brookfield Quad. First matches are scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
