Three North Central Missouri College nursing students at the Maryville site, Taryn Farnan, Laura Hibbs, and Kathy Howard, received nursing scholarship awards to help fund their education. Taryn Farnan is the recipient of a $3,000 Maude K. Ryan Memorial Nursing Scholarship established by Dr. David Ryan in memory of his mother Maude K. Ryan, a former NCMC Allied Health faculty member. Laura Hibbs is the recipient of a $350 VanVactor Nursing Scholarship established in memory of Marguerite “Peggy” VanVactor, a former nurse at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Albany and Director of Nurses at Pine View Manor in Stanberry. Kathy Howard is the recipient of a $350 Patricia Sapko Nursing Scholarship established by friends and family in memory of Patricia Sapko, who specialized in psychiatric nursing.
