Brothers Held After Incident; Two Others Facing Charges

Two Trenton brothers have been arrested after brandishing weapons during an altercation at a local apartment building.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and court records, Tanner S. Ward, 19, and Tyler C.Ward, 23, have been charged in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 12 at 1009 E. Ninth St. The two are accused of accosting a subject in the laundry room of the building, with Tanner Ward holding a revolver to the head of a female subject. Tyler Ward is accused of also showing a weapon and telling those in the room that he would kill them if they called police. He is also accused of fleeing from Trenton Police Officer Tyler Anderson when he attempted to apprehend him and of wiping a revolver with alcohol and slamming it onto a concrete floor with the purpose of impairing its availability in an official investigation by the Trenton Police Department.
The report states that when Tanner Ward was arrested, a revolver was found in his pocket. The weapon was unloaded but the hammer was pulled back. He is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action and is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $35,000 cash-only bond.
Tyler Ward is being held on $50,000 cash-only bond, charged with unlawful use of weapon, armed criminal action, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence and in a felony prosecution.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
Also scheduled for a Nov. 22 court appearance is Raymond F. Harding, 34, Trenton, who is charged with resisting arrest. Harding, whose bond has been set at $15,000 cash-only, is accused of fleeing from Officer Matt Preston when Officer Preston attempted to arrest him on a Buchanan County warrant.
A fourth person, Dustin L. Tucker, 28, Trenton, was charged with failing to return rented/leased property. He is accused of failing to return property to McRentals when the lease expired. He is being held on $2,500 cash or corporate surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
